The hanging clusters of small, pink berries of the “molle,” or pink peppercorn tree, were once considered sacred to the ancient Incas. Indigenous South American populations traditionally used all parts of the tree, including the pink peppercorn fruit, as herbal solutions. While similar in appearance to black peppercorn apart from the color, pink pepper berries are more closely related to cashews. Pink Pepper essential oil is distilled from this fruit and produces a slightly woody, spicy, fruity flavour and aroma, which is often used in home cooking. Used topically, Pink Pepper essential oil is warming to the skin, and can be diffused in your home for its sharp and uplifting aroma.
Primary Benefits
Description
Why should I add Pink Pepper oil to my collection? One of the main chemical constituents found in Pink Pepper oil is α-Phellandrene, a monoterpene alkene that provides a soothing sensation on the skin when applied topically. Pink Pepper essential oil contains more α-Phellandrene than any other doTERRA single oil, making it one of the best sources for this extraordinary constituent. Pink Pepper oil also contains Limonene, a chemical constituent that helps to clean the skin and surfaces.
